The Most Wonderful Time of the Year! Recent Christmas Performances.

After many long weeks of wearing sweaters and hoping for colder weather, watching out the window with hopes of seeing the season's first snowfall, and playing Christmas music too far in advance, my favorite time of year has finally arrived. I have felt blessed this week to have been given some wonderful performing opportunities- the best way to kick off the Christmas season!

On Tuesday night, I was thrilled to premiere my new original song, "Moments," at BYU's Songwriter Showcase. The event was impressive and rewarding, as I was so inspired by all of the other numbers performed by fellow students.

Thursday was another special day, as I was able to perform alongside my father, David Tolk, in FM100's annual Christmas concert at South Towne Mall. I returned from my year and a half church service mission in Santiago, Chile on December 15th of last year and just missed this concert, which has become a cherished Tolk family tradition! Naturally, I was excited to perform in this wonderful venue again after my long hiatus. I had a great time performing my original song, "Believe," and also enjoying the incredibly moving performance of "The Lower Lights"  and the peaceful Christmas music played by my father along with our great friend and talented violinist, Jessica Nally Davis.

I'm thankful for music and the way that it lights the world. :) Happy December and an early Merry Christmas!
